As it happens we find out things about people we thought we knew and wonder why we didn't know these things already. His work at Exeter Art College, his escape from Hungary in 1956 and all that life unloaded on him and his family whilst he made his way in his adopted country, that was good enough to throw him a lifeline. We are all books in the writing, and now he is gone, we in the family talk about him as if he were here and have those conversations we ought have had over the past decades. Talking is good, so if you have read so far, think on someone you think you know, have that conversation, and live each day in the name of progress.

Do you mean Laszlo B. Acs, whose birthday I mentioned in mid-May of 2011? (If so, I'm sorry to hear the news.)
